I like to think of Winter as an invitation to wrap ourselves round with blankets and drop down deep into the caves of the soul, and hug whatever is there. I love winter’s bareness and darkness, something I sense as an invitation to slow down, gather in. For me, winter is a time to allow myself to rediscover what really matters most and an invitation to deeply rest and dream. As I drop inward at the cusp of this winter season, I somehow become more aware of the subtle and quieter ways the universe is speaking to me.

Today, It is as though Lumi’s pointed gaze towards some distant, larger horizon is inviting me to pause in the midst of things to stand upon the shore and remember the larger vision I am moving toward….. and I wonder what it would mean to keep that gaze more steady as I move through daily life………

…… Am I in alignment with that greater dream? Or has the busy-ness of daily life taken me a little off course……And now , as I pause at the shore and gaze in wonder, I think about what small step I can take today, amidst everything, to honor and bring myself in closer alignment towards my greatest dreams…….

I invite you to stand on the shore with me this winter season and remember your bigger dreams. To allow yourself to feel the longing and to pause and perhaps take (or consider) just one small step you might take towards the greater horizon of your own dreams.
